Student Supports

Orientation

International Students will receive a Student Handbook as part of their registration package which includes information about the CCI Program, arriving in Edmonton, and services available in Edmonton.

There is a Student Orientation held at the start of each term for new students.  The Orientation reviews school policies, course information and testing, school services and activities, as well as basic information about Edmonton (transit, food, weather, safety, etc.) and where to go if they have questions about visas or immigration.

School Activities

A variety of extracurricular events from free to low-cost are organized for students on a regular basis, from lunchtime grammar clubs, to trips to local festivals, guest speakers on a variety of topics, or short trips to locations outside of Edmonton!

We also organize regular volunteer activities at local organizations, so students can get volunteer experience in a group-setting.  Students can also volunteer to help at the school!

There is also a computer lab with a variety of language learning software available for student use outside of class time at no extra cost.

CCI-LEX is a small school with a big heart! All of our office staff will do their best to answer any questions you may have, whether it’s about our school or Edmonton. Our staff are knowledgeable about the many resources available in Edmonton and we are happy to refer you to further services in the city.  Staff are available Monday to Friday and will respond to any requests outside regular business hours promptly and within 72 hours – usually less!

The CCI Program also has a designated Program/Academic Lead who can offer further guidance and support in regards to your academic questions.
