When Can I Start Classes in the LEX Program?

English classes in our LEX Program run on an ongoing basis, which is called continuous enrolment. This means that you can start classes right away – you don’t have to wait a few weeks or months for a new class to start on a specific date.

If there is space in the class you would like to join, you can start the next Monday. However, some levels of our classes are very popular and fill up quickly. If a specific class is full, this means there may be a waiting list for the class you would like to join.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Long is a Term in the LEX Program?

One full term or session is about 5 months.

Students register for 4 week periods. They can start or stop any time.

Registration Fee:
There is a registration fee of $35, which covers the cost of creating a new student account for you.

This fee is a one-time fee, which means that you only pay it the first time you register as a student at CCI-LEX. However, if a time period of 6 months or more has passed without further student activity, the student will then be required to pay the registration fee again.

Class Fees:
$25 to $35 for 4 weeks of study

When schools talk about fees, or the cost of a class, it is called tuition. Besides the one-time registration fee, our students also pay a fee, or tuition, for each class.

In the LEX Program, each class costs between $25 to $35 for 4 weeks of study, depending on the English class.

Textbooks and Materials: The cost of the books and worksheets for our English classes are included in the class fees.

The Government of Alberta’s Ministry of Immigration and Multiculturalism provides funding for the LEX Program, and it is for that reason that we are able to offer LEX classes at a very low price.
