CCI-LEX has an amazing team of passionate instructors who truly care about their students’ success!
Teachers in our CCI Program (our accredited ESL Program) are all certified TESL instructors with relevant education, training, and experience with adult learners. Our team of CCI teachers offer plenty of individual attention as they strive to help learners achieve their academic and career goals. They excel at fostering a friendly but studious learning environment!
More than 100 dedicated volunteers teach in our LEX Program (flexible, low-cost ESL), each bringing their own unique gifts, experience, and skills into the classroom. Our volunteer team is as diverse as our students, with university students, business people, and retirees alike striving to create the best possible learning environment for our newcomer learners.
Teachers in both programs support students to learn study skills, conversation skills and the mechanics of speaking, writing, and reading English, while also fostering cultural exchange and improved knowledge of Canadian culture and customs. Our teachers create the welcoming and engaging atmosphere that CCI-LEX is known for!
The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall governance of CCI-LEX. They support the organization in policy creation and guide strategic planning and direction to ensure continued quality programming and sustainability.
